TWC Draincare Monthly Round-Up: January/February 2026

A New Year Update from TWC Draincare 🌧️

As we move further into the new year, we wanted to share a quick update on what we’ve been up to at TWC Draincare over the past few weeks.

It’s been a busy start to 2026, with the recent heavy rainfall keeping the team on their toes across Yorkshire, the North East and Lincolnshire.

Heavy Rain Bringing Drainage Challenges

The recent spell of sustained heavy rain has led to increased demand for reactive drainage work. Downpipes, soakaways and surface water systems have been struggling to cope with the level of ground saturation, and we’ve attended a number of jobs where systems simply couldn’t manage the volume of water.

This is a timely reminder of how important regular maintenance is, particularly during the winter months. Keeping lines free from leaves, moss and debris can significantly reduce the risk of blockages and prevent unnecessary flooding issues.

If you’d like advice on planned preventative maintenance, our team are always happy to help.

Investing in Training

Alongside a busy operational period, we’ve also been focusing on the team’s professional development.

Both Charlie and Martin have recently been back in the classroom refreshing their skills and ensuring we stay fully up-to-date with the latest drainage methods and industry standards.

Ongoing training is something we take seriously at TWC Draincare. It ensures we continue delivering high-quality, compliant solutions for our customers, no matter how complex the job. As well as updating their Water Jetting Association training they are also now up-to-date on Confined Space Training.

All of our engineers will be completing more training over the coming months so watch our social media channels for more updates.

Expanding into Lincolnshire

We’re pleased to share that we’ve welcomed a new drainage engineer to the team, based down in Lincolnshire.

We’ll introduce Darren properly over the next few weeks once he’s settled in, but we are pleased to announce that bringing him on board has enabled us to expand the regions we cover, expanding further into Lincolnshire than ever before.

Historically we’ve covered the North East, Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire, but now, with Darren joining we can cover the whole of Lincolnshire. We very much look forward to meeting new customers and are happy to welcome Darren to the TWC Draincare family.

New Equipment Now in Action

January saw the arrival of some exciting new equipment, the Fixaline Fixer 10. All of our vans are equipped with the technology they need day-to-day. This includes high pressure jetters and CCTV cameras. However, there are jobs which sometimes require a more specialist approach. This is where the Fixer 10 comes into its own.

The Fixer 10 is a high-speed, portable milling machine which is specially designed not just to tackle blockages but also helps with repair work too, cutting through and rehabilitating drainpipes.

This has already proved useful on multiple jobs and provides greater flexibility for our engineers when dealing with more challenging drainage issues. It’s particularly effective where there is significant root ingress or heavy blockages, allowing us to resolve issues efficiently and minimise disruption.

Investing in the right tools helps us continue delivering reliable, effective solutions for our customers.
