Martin has worked with TWC Draincare since 2020, bringing with him a wealth of experience having worked in the drainage industry for over 20 years. He started his career with the Royal Signals before working as a joiner, telecoms linesman and welder. Martin is based out of Middlesborough, and primarily covers the North-East and North Yorkshire areas. He enjoys working for TWC Draincare as the role is very diverse and provides him with different challenges every day. Outside of work Martin loves to spend time with his amazing granddaughter, and is a skilled craftsman, from laser etching, to making jewellery to 3D printing, Martin is always busy.
Charlie joined TWC Draincare back in 2021. He took a brief break in mid-2024 to try something new, but soon came back as he missed working with the team. Charlie loves working with machinery and is a real problem solver at heart, which is essential in the job he does. He is based in Northallerton but covers the North-East, North and West Yorkshire areas. When he’s not working Charlie likes spending time in the great outdoors walking and camping.
Stephen joined TWC Draincare in January 2025. Based out of Sheffield, Stephen has worked in the drainage industry for over 26 years. His calm manner immediately puts customers at ease, and his knowledge and experience ensure the job is done right. Stephen is a family man who loves spending time with his nearest and dearest. If he’s not out exploring the great outdoors in his spare time, he’s probably at a live music event.
Darren joined the team in February 2026 and is based out of Gainsborough. He started his working career in the Royal Navy as an engineer, where he stayed for more than six years, enjoying numerous deployments around the world. He puts his engineering knowledge to good use in the work he does now, being a great problem solver. Outside of work Darren has a young family, which keep him very busy as well as a dog named Tilly.
Pete is the Draincare manager for the team, having worked for TWC group for more than 13 years. His career started in the military with the Scots Guards where he spent time across the UK, Canada and Belize. Pete has a very practical mindset and can find a solution to just about any drainage problem he finds. He loves travelling and is at his happiest when he’s got a tent strapped to his back and a map in his hand.
Working as the administrator at TWC Draincare HQ in Thirsk, her role is very diverse. From handling customer enquiries, to managing diaries, to ordering supplies, every day is different. Having worked in the finance and food industries previously she’s enjoying learning about the drainage industry and is always full of questions. Outside of work she is a real true-crime geek, trying to understand the real stories behind the headlines.
Martin and his wife Rachel are directors of TWC Draincare and work alongside the rest of the team. Martin started the business in September 2017 following the success of TWC Facilities Ltd, which has been trading for over 15 years. Initially starting his career in property, alongside his wife Rachel, Martin founded and then expanded this family run business from a single van on the road and one customer, to what it is today with an overriding focus on customer service. In his spare time, Martin tries to keep fit, running, swimming and playing tennis and most of all, enjoys spending time with his family.
